The 2005 Brazilian Indoor Championship was held in São Paulo at the LE MANS facilities between November 11-13. It was a beautiful, very fast track. All major R/C teams were there â“ XRAY TEAM BRASIL, Team Corally and Dino Racing.

Friday started the practice and we could see that Fabiano Franco (XRAY TEAM BRASIL) had the fastest modified car on the track. In stock, many drivers could win the event. Flavio Salinet (XRAY TEAM BRASIL) had a very easy-to-drive car but his stock motor wasnâ™t good enough. Jonas Ferstemberg (XRAY TEAM BRASIL) also felt that his motors weren't good as well.

Saturday morning started the heats and at the end of the day we had 3 drivers direct into the finals.
In Stock class, the top 3 drivers were:
TQ - Lincoln Almeida
2º - Paulo Martins
3º - LĂşcio Filho
Sunday morning we raced the semi-finals to complete the grid of TOP 10 drivers. In the Stock class Fabiano Franco (XRAY T1 FKâ™05) won his semi-final, while Flavio Salinet (XRAY T1 FKâ™05) also won his semi-final and both drivers got into the finals. Jonas Ferstemberg was not luck and found himself out of the stock finals.
The Modified class was easier to get to the finals and Fabiano Franco â“ TQ (XRAY T1 FKâ™05) and Jonas Ferstemberg were in the finals of the Modified class.
The next event will be our State Championship of Modified class on December 3rd and 4th and to finished the race year. Our traditional "1001 laps of Curitiba" will be held on December 17th.
Final Thoughts:
Fabiano Franco had the chance to win the Modified class but a mistake in the 2nd final took his chances away. He TQ'd and set a new track record for the Modified class.
Flávio Salinet took XRAY to the Vice-Championship in a raceday looking for results. He had a battery problem on Saturday.
Jonas Ferstemberg had no luck at this event.
Horácio Ferreira couldnâ™t participate on this event because his work responsibilities.
